About Miriam
Licensed Professional Counselor
Miriam Vinton is a licensed professional counselor with more than 20 years of experience with adults and adolescents. She specializes in work with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and the day-to-day management of stress.
Her approach to treatment is eclectic in nature emphasizing strengths and addressing issues in an interactive problem-solving way. Using a variety of specialized techniques, Miriam complements more traditional methods with an array of relaxation techniques including:
- Zero Balancing (treating symptoms using a combination of structure and energy)
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping (a cross between self-hypnosis and acupressure)
All-in-all, Miriam strives to help people find the resources within themselves to make lasting changes in their lives.
